OCTOBER
NCAT Resilient Farm & Ranch Planning Demonstration Day – October 23 in Fredericksburg
This will be an engaging field day filled with presentations, group discussions, and a tour of the Hershey Ranch Resilient Plan, highlighting the relationship between climate, carbon, land productivity, and resilience. Discover conservation practices that enrich carbon-rich soils, boost biodiversity both above and below ground, and enhance ranch resilience to changing climatic conditions.
South Texas Farm & Ranch Show – October 23-24 in Victoria.
The South Texas Farm & Ranch Show offers the opportunity to communicate industry advances to farmers, ranchers, agribusiness, and the general public from exhibitors. Training classes are also offered for Texas Department of Agriculture private applicator license. The lunch program has speakers on current industry topics. Most educational programs are based on Agricultural Literacy.
Lands and Legacies Conference – October 24-25 in Richmond (near Houston).
Conference topics will include restoration and conservation success stories, new conservation easement funding opportunities in Texas, land management guidance for landowners, partnership projects and strategies, green energy and sustainable land management, prairie education, climate change opportunities and challenges, and land use changes in Texas.
Soil Health & Regenerative Grazing School – October 25-26 at the Regen Ranch in Oakwood (East Central Texas)
This hands-on Grazing School is packed with practical information to help you build a profitable operation while nurturing a robust, resilient landscape. These 2-day immersive workshops are open to any and all individuals (all skill and experience levels) and will act as a prerequisite for applying to for the 2025 RAMP (Regenerative Ag Mentorship Program), presented by HMI.
Texas Fleece & Fiber Festival – October 25-27 in Kerrville.
The Texas Fleece and Fiber Festival is a festival that celebrates fiber artists, teachers, producers, and enthusiasts in Kerrville, Texas. The festival includes classes, exhibits, vendors, and demonstrations.
Council for Healthy Food Systems – Fundamentals of Holistic Management – October 26 in Dallas.
Join us at Owenwood Farm & Neighbor Space to learn about holistic management with the Savory Institute! The class discuss sustainable agriculture and land management, sharing knowledge and insights on how to regenerate our land and community
Austin Veteran Arts Fest – October 26 in Austin.
This seminar, themed "Empowering Veterans’ Holistic Health," offers networking opportunities, access to essential resources, and a sense of community. Topics covered include forming healthy habits, stress management, finding balance, nourishing your body, and practicing mindfulness.
Farmer Veteran Coalition National Stakeholders Conference – October 27-29 in Kansas City.
The Farmer Veteran Coalition Stakeholders Conference is the largest national annual gathering of the agriculture and military communities and features three days of education, distinguished speakers, guest panels, networking, camaraderie, a farm tour, and much more.
Noble Land Essentials Workshop – October 30-31 in Huntsville (Houston/College Station)
Noble Land Essentials is a 2-day, hands-on, in-person course that teaches you the tools you need to monitor and improve the health of your land, livestock, livelihood and legacy. Black Farmers & Urban Gardeners Conference – November 1-3 in Houston.
Since 2010, the annual Black Farmers & Urban Gardeners (BUGs) National Conference has reimagined Black futures via the advocacy of food and farm issues. For more than a decade, our team has helped Americans reclaim life through food sovereignty and justice while organizing the country's largest conference dedicated to Black Agriculture.

EQIP provides technical and financial assistance to agricultural producers and forest landowners to address natural resource concerns.
Small Producers Initiative – Increasing Profitability Through Adaptive Grazing – November 8-9 in Waller (near Houston).
Join SPI and Understanding Ag for an inside look at the Menke Farm and Ranch, and learn how to restore and enhance your land with adaptive grazing.

A Veteran-centric event that seeks to: Educate Veterans on the various services that are available through participating organizations. Educate Veterans on volunteer opportunities available through participating organizations in order to remain engaged within the Veteran Community. Facilitate networking and collaboration.
Noble Grazing Essentials Workshop – November 13-15 in Kingsville.
Noble Grazing Essentials is a 3-day, hands-on, in-person course that teaches you the tools you need to quickly assess your forage production and carrying capacity to design and implement grazing plans that work for you, your livestock and your land. Noble Grazing Essentials teaches you how to manage your grazing lands by: Improving the health and productivity of your soil, maximizing forage use without over grazing, properly assessing and calculating carrying capacity and stocking rate, implementing adaptive grazing strategies for pasture rest and recovery.
National Agricultural Marketing Summit – November 13-15 in Albuquerque, NM.
The AgSummit provides a unique networking opportunity for agricultural marketing practitioners to form new partnerships and learn new business strategies that can improve the performance of their farms and businesses. The Summit will feature resources to assist market managers, direct marketing farmers and food businesses, agribusinesses with value-added products, practitioners, and technical assistance providers in understanding and enhancing marketing strategies.

Council for Healthy Food Systems – Crop Planning & Management, Part 2 – November 23 in Dallas.
Crop planning is essential to successful food production allowing for efficient use of space and resources, seasonal adaptation, soil health, pest & disease management, increased yields & profitability and market timing to name a few. In this 2-part crop planning workshop, Lisa Attaway, farm manager with Green City Growers, will discussing the fundamentals of putting an effective crop plan together that ensures a successful growing operation.
Where’s the Beef Direct to Consumer Marketing Workshop – November 22 in Bonham (near Dallas).
Many consumers are interested in purchasing beef directly from the farm, making this a prime opportunity for cattle raisers. This Texas A&M AgriLife workshop discusses how to retail your beef to a direct-to-consumer market, including navigating legal protections, permitting requirements, labeling considerations, and slaughter facility selection. This day-long course includes meat specialists, lawyers, economists, and a panel of direct beef sales producers as speakers.

2025 Events
APPPA 2025 Pastured Poultry Conference – January 23-25 in Allen.
The American Pastured Poultry Producers Association (APPPA) Pastured Poultry Conference is a gathering of pastured poultry producers to share challenges, find solutions, and innovate. The conference provides a space for producers to network, learn about technical insights, and discuss poultry production topics.
Texas Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association (TOFGA) Conference – January 26-28 in Pflugerville.
Join farmers, ranchers, agricultural professionals and advocates from all over Texas to share ideas, network, build community, and have fun! The conference includes two days of in-depth workshops and learning sessions, plus multiple off-site intensives and farm tours. Additional highlights include a Farm Feast with a keynote speaker, social and networking opportunities, and an excellent trade show featuring new and innovative material as well as mainstay agricultural tools, inputs, and services.
