Participants in this program rece

American Farmland Trust’s Texas Grazing Network is a peer-to-peer learning groups that assists ranchers, especially historically underserved producers, in understanding the benefits of regenerative practices and provide guidance on how to successfully implement those practices on their grazing operations. Participants in this program receive 60 hours of technical assistance in adopting or improving regenerative farming practices on their own operations.

Veteran training begins with our 12-week “Growing Urban Farmers” basic training class. New cohorts are welcomed twice a year, with start dates in March and October.

In all of Texas, HOPE for Small Farm Sustainability is the only farmer to farmer led organization that provides whole farm business support to farmers and ranchers with the focus on regenerative agriculture practices. From crop rotation, to obtaining food licenses, HOPE for Small Farm Sustainability is here to support. They supply years of knowledge and experience in regenerative agriculture in order to boost our soil and our local food supply.

Armed to Farm is a sustainable agriculture training program for military veterans. The National Center for Appropriate Technology, a national nonprofit organization based in Butte, Montana, developed Armed to Farm through a cooperative agreement with USDA-Rural Development.


The weeklong training features farm tours and hands-on activities

The weeklong training features farm tours and hands-on activities at a variety of successful farms. Participants learn from seasoned farmers and gain direct experience on livestock, vegetable, fruit, and agritourism operations.
